happY new year!

hohoho~ after christmas, it's new year and hari raya haji as well~ would like to wish everyone out there happy new year! These 2 days have really been eventful! actually, these 4 days will be!

yesterday, went out with eve, weed, pei lin, kane to watch Deathnote 2. lots of unexpected twists haha and it's good la~ but then i still like the light hearted night at the museum. and be4 that went to shop around with eve cos ZARA HAS SALE! and i bought 2 shirts from there for like $60, saved a whopping $40! and i bought 1 from pull and bear! so i spent $80 in alL! haha very excited while shopping!

and today~ i went swimming with fulong in the morning! he was kinda suay, kena arrowed to swim in the inter formation swim this coming wed! and i was telling him how to improve on his freestyle haha! tml will teach him how to dive! and had lunch with him from which i realised he has a shocking appetite! he eats more than me! haha but nvm, i'm fitter =P.

alright, then i met pam and cf to cycle at east coast. it was pretty fun to cycle cos i love the wind to hit against my face! and pam was really funny cos she just learnt how to ride a bike and i decided to help her initiallY!

then we met mj, ps and zichun at WARAKU restaurant! It's authentic jap food is really OISHII! i just love their salmon cheese age, butakimuchi don and one other buta egg! really really nice! makes me feel like going to hanabi! haha! and we had a lot of fun there. when i suddenly gone mad and tried becoming american's next top model host, and i kept asking PS to post cos she onli had 10 shots. it's very dumB! and she's very sporty to pose for 10 shots! haha! then we had the best photo taken when the results were released! we also went to coffee bean after that and i had this very delicious carrot cake! i like the icing cos it's really unique la i think! yeah and happy new year to every1!

firstly, would like to wish those out there a merry christmas! and i myself, really had an enjoyable christmas dinner yesterday!

well, first talk about the things i did this long weekend. watched curse of the golden flower with mn and cf on sat; majestic setting but a normal plot. i like the colours that zhang yi mou used to decorate the palace but then the plot is basically power struggle within the family itself with a little incest. everyone died except chow ren fa who was the ultimate winner.

and sunday, i met kiwi and hq for night at the museum. yeah, really hilarious movie and it's worth the money though being a comedy. the jokes are not brainless like scary movie, but i think we can say they're kinda creative? haha! yuPz, and the movie was able to influence me with its light hearted tone. haha!

then yesterday was dunman gathering at jiayin's house. went to courts megastore be4 that with my dad and we purchased a 42 IN philips LCD. damn beautiful with the ambi light and the sharp definition. and we had a $500 philips voucher. should i get a dvd recorder or theatre sound system???

alright, back to the dinner. there were 13 of us! me, jiayin, yuexin, minyan, ming jit, molly, sai, hui zhi, hui min, lin li, vincent, jiayi and jieying! it was really really fun! jiayin's house always looks that cosy even without much embellishment. we had kbox at her house! and yeah! i sang a couple of duets with jiayi, minyan and it was quite shuang! i like to sing jing tian yao jia ge ni. and min yan is pro at singing shan hu hai!

we had nice nice turkey, and some sandwiches at yin's house. turkey tastes like chicken actuallY! and yeah, honestly speaking, it's my first time having turkey! haha! oh my! jiayin thanks for the sumptuous dinner! love it! and then we went on to play some really mad games! like the name calling ones and the action game, and also POlar bear! we really had tons of fun and a great time together. and you know wat, i've not met some of them like for yearS?! like huimin, it was 3 years! haha! everybody didn't change much, if not mature, and ya we're still the same mad dunmanians eva~ i love spending christmas with my loved ones!

Today was HCCO outing! haha not all hcco la... but just only me, yitian, wen chee, nic and nelson. so i went out with 3 pipaist and 1 drummer~ haha and i'm the cellist! well, we met at orchard first to do some shopping cos yt couldn't resist the tantalising discounts at mangO! and i think she bought 8-10 tops?! way to go gal!

then! the 3 guys kept asking me to club which i totally ain't interested in! being so adament, we decided to go pub instead. so there's some compromise huh~ haha! but be4 that, we went to do some retail therapy at lido and i got this levis long-sleeve shirt at $89.50! ex man! but it looks nice and retro though a little flamboyant~ suits my dark skin. oOPz and wen chee got a levis t shirt. after which, we headed to spizza for pizza of course! ordered 3 LARGE pizza and they were delicious. was quite full initially, but then i think the food was digested so quickly by my stomach that i felt everything was gone.

then we walked all the way to timber to find ourselves disappointed that it was booked for a private gathering! argH! and chnaged our plans to holland v walla walla pub instead. upon arrival, i really like gazing at eateries; esp when both sides of the roads are full of restaurants! so me and PIGGY wen chee felt hungry again and decided to dine at spizza there agaIN! this time, we ordered 2 medium pizza, both wioth bacon and i remembered 1 is called babara. ahha! cute name huh~ we managed to finish both pizza and i felt SO SO FULL & FAT after that! argH! spent so much on food today! but it was really delicious la! and i like eating with people who eat a lot~ cos it just make me feel merrier! and furthermore, i haven't dined with wen chee for years! (not literally of course). yuPz, must meet up more often! and you betta go abroad with us next year!

then we went to wala wala for drinks while enjoying a live band. i like the band songs, though the drum did not spare my ears. it would be good if it's open-air, so that the drum notes will not resonate as much! haha i like the pub lightings and i would prefer this to cluB~

well well, we left at around 11+ and i took a cab back with wc to take 969~ and i wan so many songs from him after listening to his mP3! send me!!! haha! anyway, it feels good to know that your close frens are doing well! eh, and i'll be going for my lifeguard course from next wk till 4th jan at hendon's camp! sO wen chee! look out for me! hahaha.. mayb we can meet for lunch or dinner! haha!

thailand

yuPz, back from a 5 day thailand trip. touched down at 10.40pm~ it was really quite an experience cos it was my first time going to a less developed country.

i was quite sian when i reached there on my first day despite convincing myself a few days ago. the new airport wasn't well furbished and had cobwebs in the ceiling. haha! then, the next thing was how disorganised and inefficient the airport arrival hall was. and followed by the massive crowd at the gates. a spate of unhappy events welcomed me upon my arrival.

alright, thailand is a country that does not have many iconic buildings, except for those huge temples and i realised that it's symbolic of thailand buildings to have pointed and curvy edges. visited pattaya too and went deep underwater to feed the fishes, of course with scuba divers around to aid us. and also played those inflated dingy boat. it was quite fun over there, basking in the hot sun and having a good tan!

see the simple life that these thai lead. totally diff from us city dwellers. and those houses along the river bank were supported by stilts. the inhabitants just bathe, do their laundry in the river!

find the food there so-so cos it's like our cai fan! but on my last day when we had a free day, my family went to Mah boon kohm to shoP! it's size is akin to vivo though not as beautiful, and we had shanghai xiao long bao for lunch! totally cheap! the mian was like $1 and the prawns were like $10 per plate! argH! and MBK is a good place to shop but sadly, we need to rush back to our hotel to check out and thus didn't have the luxury of time to slowly shop. and i actually swam at pattaya resort cos i couldn't stand my bulging bellY! find their swimming pool really special, with a bar in the middle of the cicular pool. cool rite~

night markets are also another 'must-go', only for some. for me i thot it was quite ok cos it's similar to bugis street and i'm one who don't support imitation, so i only shopped a little over there. And from this trip, i managed to get 3 diesel jeans for like $80, 1 pink shirt, 2 bracelets, 3 pairs of socks and a wallet. quite satisfied with my purchase, especially the jeans.

what i dislike about the country as a tourist: the lousy transport network (there were no lights along the highways), the incessant bargaining, the dirty waterways etc. and i find the people here very peculiar, they're unlike those whose countries i've visited. the stall owners are very persuasive and persistent when they see that u have the slightest interest in their goods. well, i definitely prefer the UK to thai but i guess both are 2 diff countries, 2 diff culture so there may be no basis of comparison at all less the economic development that both have attained.

and the most memorable part of this journey was the transvestite show that i went to. it was really an astounding performance and they look so women. and this is the 1st country that has no social stigmas against these transvestites. it's a really refreshing experience. haha! and also not to forget the journey with SIA was totally awesome too! i love SQ!

a meaningful day~

yes, today's really meaningful. met up with royston, yes HCCODYB royston (my junior!) at bugis yoshinoya for a simple lunch~ i haven't met him for ages, about 1 year plus! 1 YEAR PLUS! i can't even believe that myself. haha! chatted a lot at yoshi for like 2 hours plus and yeah i'm really outdated! talk about all the CO gossips like who's attached to who and how are the rest doing. haha!

then, saw his prom fotos which was taken yesterday~ and i saw anna which i mistaken for some person's mum~ ooPz =X. haha! yeah u dressed well! and i tried to psycho him to choose dsta over the SAF. actually, i'm quite biased~ haha but all the best to him! believe he'll get excellent grades~ like 4 As, 2 D. haha! yuPz, he's really been a nice junior, my closest junior actuallY~ haha! betta feel honoured! anyway, all the best for ur enlistment, betta not get into M or N company.

wa, time really flies. still remember i was about to enlist at this time last year. alright, then when cf came to join us, we went to have strawberry shrudel cos i was craving for it! nice nice shrudel and i treated royston 1! haha~ also took a nice photo together. =)

after which, we met pam and sai for dinner at miss clarity cafe. it's very cosy, with the candles lightings and yuPZ quite nice. but then the food portion is meagre. brrr, not satisfying enuf for glutton like me! bought a mini log cake for CF and hopes she like it. we gave her her bday prezzie too which is a top and a beautiful necklace~ yeah so after siaoing quite long at the cafe, we headed home~! a lovely gathering indeed!

woohoO~ so today met up with jiayin, minyan and ming jit! finally got to meet "new" people after so many weeks cos of those uni students exams!

wanted to have yuki yaki initially but fatass ming jit didn't want buffet, so after much compromise, we decided on imperial treasure. come to think of it, i had not had la mian and long bao for quite a loooong time! we ordered 1 si chuan, 1 suan la and 2 zha jiang la mian, with 2 long bao, 1 cao fan and 1 jiu niang wan zi. yeah! yumMY! but i was kinda full when i was having my dessert~

then we didn't have much plans and thus decided to go to jiayin's house to chill out~ watched jane and dick and it was a nice movie. wanted to watch that last time but din have the time. also borrowed 4 DVD from ah yin to accompany me during my block leave these few days.

oOOz, and we baked brownie today! it supposedly should look good, but with mj's superb skills, it turned into....

haha and we played card games be4 leaving her house! beautiful and cosy house indeed! well well, nice meeting up them and hope to meet them up in future! i shall swim tommorrow! to burn my fats and also to train my stamina~
