UCAS

yuPz, my form teacher just helped me submit my UCAS application form on monday. I was quite glad and excited. It's a really diff feeling from last year as I still need to worry about my scholarship. for this year, i just need to accept the approriate school and that's it. yeah! not as much hassle! it was really a pity i need to withdraw my place from imperial cos dsta encourages me to reapply again this year~ haha... well, hope everything goes fine this time!

I can't wait to fly...

Forbidden City

yeah~ those photos were taken just now at the esplanade. It's my first musical concert at the Esplanade and my first time looking out from the esplanade at such a high level. haha! suaku hor~

anyway, it was a coincidence that both cheng hyork and wen jian are watching on the same day as me and cf. so we met to have dinner before setting off for this splendid rendition. we sat at the 4th level. and it would have been perfect if not for the fact that we could not see the expressions of the artistes. Their singings were marvellous and one thing that really attracted me was the Chinese setting. The er hu, the sheng and the various chinese instrument weaved together to produce melodious pieces. Dick Lee was successful in orchestrating such pieces. thumbs uP! mayb cos I'm a little 'china', thus bias. haha and the various pieces were belted with gusto by the artistes which truly deserve our thunderous applause.

felt kinda amazed that the troops can coordinate so well with the orchestra. definitely, their tremendous effort is discernable in such a successful play. Besides the serious conversations that we may expect, a tinge of humour was added into the play, that was so well developed by the 2 comediennes which led to the laughter of many. At the end of the show, I even bought the forbidden city CD and its booklet to keep as souvenir. haha~!

Actually, find esplanade theatre a really beautiful theatre. It makes me feel like i'm in london watching a play! oH yeaH! i shall have more of such plays when i am over there!

Banquet

yupz... so i spent a simple saturday afternoon with milly to watch The Banquet. with the numerous witty conversations between the emperor and empress, found that the movie was good. milly thought so too but cf and pam didn't really like the movie. The Banquet is quite a slow-pace movie, talking about those lords and echelons having an insatiable appetite for power, who eventually got themselves incurred in a vicous cycle and finally leading to a horrible ending. I especially like the clothes that they were clad in as they are a little different from the usual chinese costumes.

So, we just went to our new posting last week. and as for me, it was naturally alpha as I put it as my first choice. Kinda happy to be in this company as my PCs are very approachable and nice people. furthermore, we also trained with them be4 during bpcc which has helped greatly in our relationships. Well, last week was kinda slack as we had off for mon n tues. wed was just a passing day and thurs and fri we had a half day off.

All thanks to our men's effort during AHM! and we had ORD dinner at tampines safra sakura that night. food was just mediocre though filling. and we( samuel, me, lip yong and corwin), the 4 HCians in alpha sat together to crap! me and samuel took so much mochi that we couldn't finish them and we( me and lip) suggested to put them into samuel's bimbo bag~ haha! and he took so many oyster such that we could not finish toO! so pai seh la. and the number of plates on our table make us look so greedy! haha!

oK, Then on sat went to watch the host with eve and then had dinner with class. think i will give the host 1 star hahah! not a nice movie, and the lame inputs in the climax really turn us off and we had the usual long bao for dinner~

devil wears prada!

this long weekend was kinda short to me. 4 days have passed really quickly. went k ster with chyork, ys and hq on sunday and went to tuitor yinghong on monday. received my new com on monday and now i have a 19'' widescreen LCD with subwoofer sound system free~ ahaha! together with a hp printer for a very reasonable price. yeap~

and today, i went to watch devil wears prada with evelyn. oh my that show totally rocks man! it reflects how our society works, that the fittest survives; somewhat like darwin's theory. and for 1 to push forward or remain in the top echelon, he or she has to be unscrupulous. subtle or not, such acts are very ugly but necessary for survival in today's competitive world.

like andrea, sometimes one may not realise he or she has started using underhand means to get her way until reminded by others. such an ugly behaviour may have been inevitably and helplessly moulded by our environment. it's quite a saddening fact and we have to accept it. at times we're being used as a stepping board without realising it. a truthful fren may 1 day backstab you. or you may be left in a lurch when u're of no use to others. not trying to sound pessimistic here but just being truthful. haha.. but i'm still hopeful as my frens around me aren't these sort of people. but who knows? bleagh~

COMEX

ok! so today i bought a compaq com for $1200 which was a kill! it came with a huge hp LCD screen (love it!) and a free HP printer. and the UP was 1400. yeah! but sadly, i realised that my mp3 player was cheaper by $50. luckily, such offers are only during the comex season~ oh and junyong helped me get a creative webcam which cost $49 instead of $69. yeah! think i really reaped a lot! yeah! feel like getting the whole expo homE! oOPZ aha!

AHM

yuPz last week was AHM and i didn't have the time to update my blog! it was a totally tiring week! after playing at corwin's house on saturday, we made our way down to the padang on sunday 2.30am to set up the water point. it felt really bad when i did not have sufficient slP! ok and later in the morning when the event was coming to a close, it rained heavily. though we were soaking wet, we continued to serve the runners with water! found that it was quite an interesting experience. ok, shall post some fotos taken on saturday when we went down to prepare the water point! haha..
