yeah happY! This week was quite a pleasant 1. had a mahjong session with hui min, minyan and yuexin on monday and yuPz i won 5 rounds, the most.

Yesterday was NDP preview, all went well and I met yx and hm at changing appetites after the performance. well well, still as crazy as ever. and I've to continue the adage; yuexin's still as 38 as ever. haha! explored the yuexin's NDP goodie bag while on our way home~



alright, and today, went for Jap lessons before meeting meng ni and chang fang. good news for me- I've been promoted to pre-advanced 2! so 2 more weeks and I'll be joining the pre-advance 2 class. I can really feel that my jap is improving. yeah! so I bought the movie version of 1 litre of tears as a reward cum motivation for myself!

Then met mn and cf at waraku for dinner! I've always liked waraku, but like hanabi better! so in future, it's wiser to go for hanabi than these expensive ala carte restaurants. haha think i haven't seen meng ni for ages and she's still so chirpy. haha! and she told me that my name appeared on last year's HC year book under the scholar's section. was so delighted and asked her to scan for me! actually, it feels proud to be in the scholars' section. =P And we went to MacCafe to chill out. oh my, the good old days when we used to attend practices have long passed... well well, thinking of this, I'll definitely attend this year's MAF to relive the days when I was a student in HC. Once a HCnian, always a Hcnian.

2 more weeks to end of NDP! 3 more weeks to meeting my BMT frens! yeah!

I'm happy. Today has been a great day for me~ started off with lessons with the privates. i was the camouflage station instructor, together with justin. We were SO short of specs today and i really mean it cos 2 went for off, 1 RS, another gym master, and so the onus of teaching the guys were thrown to both of us. but i have no complaints.

Stood in the hot sun for the whole day which resulted in a throbbing headache! but i felt so satisfied, respected after that. perhaps cos i treat my men well with due respect and i can say i'm 1 of the most patient instructor. so when they can't grasp the idea fast enough, i'll guide them encouragingly and it really feels good when u're able to solve the problem. and from here, u gain respect and gratitude from your men. the feeling is just indescribable. i feel accomplished actually, to be able to win ur men's trust and successfully teach them well. indeed, you earn your respect. and i dun really feel army life that 'bleak' now... =)

alright, then i went on to meet yuexin, hui zhi, mj and huimin for dinner at wheelock NYDC. the gathering was meant as a celebration for yuexin and yuPZ really talked lots at nydc. the usual 38 yuexin nv fails to make us laugh~ haha! oh ya! and there's a very delicious yet cheap ice cream shop called 'haoto' that serves top-grade and chunky ice cream! had rum and raisin with green tea. totally awesome cos the portion was so large on the cone and it's only $4!!! argH! so after which, mj went to pick minyan up and we all made our way to geylang rochor dao hui! we celebrated yx bday cake at the dark alley behind the shop cos there're tables to sit there! haha, and it was a really quaint yet memorable celebratioN! hope yx loves it! hahah!

It really feels good to be able to really relax oneself after a tiring day~

yeah~ today appeared to be an enjoyable day. had a good and cheap haircut in the morning at 1 of the salons in my neighbourhood. was quite amazed to find so many salons and some have this zen look. i really think aesthetic plays an important role in attracting customers. i just walked into the salon cos it's aesthetically sound. alright, and it costs only $12!!! yeah~ need not travel to bedok to have a haircut in future le. but i wonder which salons will outlast with such fierce competition. there's 1 that has many branches but there were many ppl waiting; shall try that salon in future la~

ok, then went for my usual jap lessons. went to kino after lessons, and i purchased 2 books! The Art of Happiness by a Dalai Lama and A Japan Travel guide. the former costs $20 and the latter $40! wa, spent a great deal on books! haha i read the japan travel guide for almost 1h at the bookstore and i really relished at the thot of planning this trip together with my frens. shall have a headstart and digest the book first! it feels fun to imagine how to get from 1 place to another while reading. hee~

I just wanna apologise to this friend of mine... sorry... felt a little guilty after the incident.

well, I find it a tad difficult to strike a balance between work and friendship at times. It's really hard to benefit both parties when an immediate remedy is required. And when you chose to help the other party with the former having to suffer, it feels like a backstab if he or she doesn't understand where you're coming from. I really hope this friend of mine understands the reason for my action, and will not take it as a backstab. It's true that it occurred due to exasperation and i felt that there were no other ways to advise an obdurate you. alright, hope we'll let the matter rest and bury the hatchet. =)

anyway, was quite extravagant today! had lunch at jacks place with my superiors and frens! their set lunch is quite cheap! only cost $10. and then had dinner at ding tai feng with my parents. yeah~!

ok, so i met up kiwi today for lunch at hipper at cathay cineplex. it's an affiliation of billy bombers. had the hip burger and i thot it was humongous! designed my own burger; yummY~ but it was quite untidy cos the fillings kept oozing out! haha~ kiwi had the other burger which i have forgotten its name. and we shared a frutti tutti shake which was too sweet! haha~

then, we went to walk around since i came with the aim of food hunting. wanted to watch die hard 4.0 initially but speculated that it was another brainless, action movie. so in the end, we made our way to goodwood park hotel for some durian cakes and puff! haha, we were like some sua gu over there cos we felt out of place. our dress code couldn't fit into the posh hotel! argH~ and were so embarrassed to ask the waitress for help. so plucky me asked the waitress for help and finally we got a seat! alright, so we ordered 2 durian puffs, 2 durian crumbles, 1 durian moose and 1 durian crepe! and it costs a grand total of $22. the filling wasn't that sweet, so u wun get queasy after a few bites! alright, then i da bao a few cakes for my parents! such a filial son. haha!

argH! and i feel so fat after eating so many things these 2 days~ i must exercise! maybe i should go swimming the following monday! alright, will be booking in tml morning to prepare for lessons for my privates. i really dread this kinda life now~ endless, monotonous lectures! hai, hope nic and weidi are free to meet for lunch at the cookhouse for the next 2 days!

alright~ so met up with weidi, sam and liyu, who's finally back from the states, for dinner! went for jap lessons first be4 meeting them! argh, i'm really in a dilemma whether to quit or not in august cos i dun see much point in continuing. furthermore, it's in orchard! far from my house~ aRGH!

but nvm, back to story. had a hearty meal at ikoi at miranar hotel. but didn't find the buffet fantastic; hanabi's still the best till now! haha! anyway, i had LOOOOTS of sashimI! guess i was too hungry, thus gorged myself with sashimi~!

well, actually this week wasn't really pleasant for me. had a small tiff with my pc, and then it's another monotonous week again! well, weidi was telling me how put off he was when he saw the bpcc guys. cos it's really irritating to repeat everything again! and i can understand that after having to know the new recruits and privates repeatedly! argH~ irritating~ and hafta introduce to them our standards everytime new ppl come in! well well, gambarimasho! maybe can have lunch in cookhouse together on tues and wed to complain how bored we are! ahhah!

ok, oOO and liyu looks thinner now~ good good~ so u should eat more in s'pore! ok, haven't seen her for quite some time and she's still her old self. some things don't change ya... alright we must meet up again in august to visit swissotel merchant court!

oh and met dinghao on the train today when he was about to book in~ we were on the same train but diff cabins and he spotted me! haha. hope he'll join us for our japan trip since he's interested in joining us! yeah~ then we'll have 6 ppl! i suddenly miss my bmt frens after i had a short conversation with him. haven't met them for ages and it really sucks to be unable to meet them cos of ndp. argH~ i wanna have buffet with them at swissotel merchant court too. cos we agreed to have dinner there 1 day~ after NDP perhaps! 1 more month to go for NDP to end~

20 years old! yuPz, i've turned 20 after today~

well, it's still a normal day to me. birthday feels just like any other day as 1 gets older, or is it just me? haha! nevertheless, still went to have a mini celebration with dunman frens! met yx and minyan for kbox first. then mj joined us for transformers movie and finally we had hui zhi joining us for dinner at billy bombers!

well, dun really have any special wishes this year. just hope my loved ones will be safe and sound! 20 definitely sounds a little old. and in retrospect, i haven done anything impactful in these 20 years. should grab hold of every opportunity to spice up my life and make it a meaningful 1. like going for overseas CIP etc etc.

well, there's still a parade tml morning. i just find army quite monotonous now. so shall look forward to next sun's jap buffet with weidi, ryu and sam~ anyway, thanks peeps for celebrating my bday with me =). appreciate it!

and the 1st thot that came to my mind was ORD loh! in 4 months time, i'll attain emancipation~ wee =)! then, as i flipped through the pages, i saw pictures of this year's tekong recruits. and they reminded me of my section bmt frens. argh, so nostalgic.

time really flies. I guess I won't feel so much if I'm still a first year soldier. after 1 year 7 months, my bmt frens remain as the greatest frens in my NS life. they rox! I can't wait to tour japan with my BMT frens! yeah~!
