it's good to have frens to sit down and really have a deep chat together with. cos admist the talk, I've sort out my thoughts, esp on a tranquil and quiet night. If we aren't meant to be close frens, then let it be. there'll be no outcome from a forced friendship.
I'm definitely able to face harsh criticisms bravely, cos it's for the betterment of my character. but when it is done incessantly, it gets on my nerve but i chose not to admonish or let it rile me cos it's foolish to do so.
from the many actions displayed, i should just let it go. frens we will still be but not as close. =) Eric is still a happy boy... =)
alright! today was spent meaningfully meeting up with my fossilized seniors! so i made a trip down to kovan to visit zx as he's working there, together with sir monk and nico. haha! we haven seen each other for eons! really really long, think the last time i saw them was during maf and when we were in jc.

well, none of us has changed and it's funny talking to them and reminisce the jc days. though we only have a cca in common, got to know their uni life and it's quite interesting i thot. but think zx is really working too hard, hardly has any free time. hai. should learn to relax mr huang! nico still looks as young, sir monk still looks thinner than his jc days while zx looks a little 'frail'. there're wrinkles forming around ur eyes! hahah~

anyway, we had a really great time and it was the courtesy of ss and nico to help zx pluck dao gei. i refused to pluck cos i abhor the smell that will be left on my fingers. haha~ first time meeting frens to pluck dao gei. but it was interesting i felt! and zx was quite nice to treat us to some of the dishes!

yeah, then ss, nico and i went to the legendary tm to watch 'i am legend', a gripping movie and its plot reminds me of the invasioN! hah~ has been a lovely day with them! hope that we will still meet up!
hohoho merry christmas! haha, it was yesterday but still not too late i suppose.
well, i really had a great christmas with my dunman peeps! it's quite amazing that how different cliques can come together for a gathering and able to play and chat happily stilL! I started christmas with volunteering at toa payoh together with kiwi and hq! we walked from door to door delivering lunch to the needy elderly. I find it really heart warming when i receive words of 'gam xia'(thanks) from the cute ah ma and ah pek. maybe cos i find them cutee. they're really appreciative of what we have done. i'm glad. =)
oh, then i was super tired after volunteering, but still had to rush home to prepare for the christmas gathering at ah yin's house! finally reached there with jiayi at 5.30pm! wa, so many of us! we chatted and played and sang! had a really hearty meal, and i was so bloated yesterday night! we had a good spread of dishes and ah yin's tiramisu cake is good too, just find it a little wet. ooPZ ah yin, but i still dun mind buying it at $20 from u! hahah! and we had a buffet of choc after dinner, choc log cake, famous amos, choc cup cakes, durian puff! wa everything that's related to choc, sadly i'm not a choc person so i had a little of each! and special thanks to molly and his crew for preparing the dishes while the rest are busy outside with our stuff! hhaha

And this evening, went to do volunteer again with kiwi and hq with kiwi driving the van for the 1st time in his life! hahah! it was a little bumpy initially but guess kiwi regained his pro skills after trying a while! hahah~ good good! it's quite fun doing these volunteer work with ur frens, having them driving u around while u deliver the food! haha~ =) yeah, tml will be meeting long lost seniors!--->zx and sir monk! wee~
It feels good to be able to shop in a less crowded area and it feels even better when u're able to shop in a 'high class' area. haha, yeah went to meet meng ni at causeway point today. took bus 168 and it only took me 35min.
we watched golden compass and shopped around too. bought this nice pierre cardin belt for my dad and he's also in the festive shopping mood and wanted me to help him buy shoes and shirts. but i'll just get him shirt tml at tm isetan tml and accompany him to get his nice pair of leather shoes soon. and i also got to gain a little from this shopping spree cos he also asks me to get the stuff i want too. well, maybe i will get a nice long sleeve shirt tml. esp like the tm isetan after renovation cos it looks aesthetically pleasant! yeah will be able to shop again tml with pam. haha!
oh, and i like the dinner we had today. dined at crystal jade kitchen and we had cereal prawns, pork chop and mapo dofu! very delicious, like some jia xiang cai! it's better than ordering set meals or just mian. haha!
and i esp love the ride in bus 168, so peaceful and there aren't many ppl unlike crazily crowded orchard when u need to shove and squeeze just to get home or 'stroll' along the streets. get to listen to my music, totally relax. and what's more, passed by seletar camp which gave me a pleasant feeling. maybe cos i always take 168 when i booked out and i like riding on this express bus as it signifies 'freedom'. guess it's nostalgia's doing. haha~
alright, just some updates on what i have been doing! well, met up my dunman DYB on sunday to celebrate cf's bday! haha, we had dinner at ajitei. there were me, mj, cf, camy, pam, zc and sai! haha it was really fun to reminisce the old days! like how spastic we used to be in dunman during dazu and fenzu! and the henan days! haha~ and i haven seen sai for so long. and she kept complaining that i'm fatter now! well, maybe cos of the trips that caused a lack of exercise and too much pasta and cheese in europe! but well, it was really an enjoyable night~
and yeah started volunteer work yesterday! I've signed up with nursing home at toa payoh. it's a tad far but it's fun doing with frens! cos most of my close frens stay there! hahaa. i went to deliver lunch to the elderly with an auntie driving me around and hq also joined me that day! haha and i saw kun quan along the way and we agreed to meet for kuishinbo 1 day in jan! wat a convenient date! haha~ and i really got to see many different kinda elderly, there're really appreciative ones, demanding ones (yeah not kidding) and eccentric ones. but still, i find it really a great experience and i enjoy doing it. in future, we may go on to befriending elderly and maybe org activities! haha~ yeaH~ think volunteerism is fulfilling~!

Day 10- We went to the Vatican City in Rome, which is the smallest city in the whole world but it has 30% of Rome's property. Rome is also another pretty city cos it has the most medieval buildings and ruins, some were quite badly marred actually. and the vatican city is where the pope resides! haha cool right, it's chapel is really gargantuan!

I met Jun Kai in Zara! He's also doing triple E in imperial next year, under dsta! yeah! so i'll be going over with him~ and i knew him cos he was from my sispec coy! we glanced each other a few times be4 recognising! hahah! so gao xiao and wat a coincidence!
Well, overall i feel that Italy and Switzerland are just 2 stunning countries. While Italy has really gothic and mesmerizing architecture, switzerland owns the scenery! haha! It was really a gratifying trip!
Day 9- We visited the leaning tower of pisa. it's really fun taking creative pictures with it! It's 5th storey onwards were built slanting in the opp direction so as to stabilise it but it still looks slanted generallY! haha and u can see so many ppl taking creative fotos with it while doing spastic poses! and i was 1 of them! nothing to be shy of! ahaha~ can have a good laf over there~

then we went on to orvietto which is another small town. so windy over there and it's chillY!

Day 7- And today, we're off to my long awaited city! Venice! heard so much about it, through textbooks, movies and that city is indeed beautifuL! Let the pictures do the talking. really pretty!

Day 6- We went on to Lugano which is a small city, then to foxtown which is a factory outlet for all the branded and non-branded stuff. got myself a pair of high end fashion boots! hahaha cost like 200+!

Then we made our way southwards to Italy, Milan the city of fashion! we visited the old, medieval cathedral called Duomo, 3rd biggest in Europe built in 1376 and the interiors have gothic designs!

Day 5- This day we went to the 2nd mountain, Jungfrauyoch (yong-frau-yok), and it's 3970m high and we went up there by rail to 3454m. guess the temperature at this altitude! haha it was -18 degrees! cool right?! below the mountain is an angel town and it's totally covered in pristine white snow! really looked like an angel town! very pretty and we had snow that day too! hehe~

Day 4- travelled down to the south to the capital of Switzerland called Bern which means bear. It acquired its name cos long time ago, some1 spotted bears in this city so it was hence named! haha~ quite a bustling small little capital and i especially like the layout of the shops and streets.
we walked past einstein house! and so i took several photos of this famous scientist who derived E=MC2.

And after some shopping and sight seeing at Berne, we went on to Interlaken which means a city in the middle of a lake surrounded with mountains. so u can picture how pretty that city is! really, slow paced live over there. but i guess i'll be bored to death if i'll stay for too long!
bought chocolates from this shop in interlaken. really delicious! i could have nv craved for more! haha. 100g for 8 francs. that's around S$11...

And we had a nice swiss dinner which has cheese fondue! 1st time i heard of such a delicacy! there's alcohol in it toO! had so much fun during the dinner cos there's a swiss guy who keeps entertaining us!
