haha! and today after my jap lesson, i went to shop at tm while waiting to lunch with st. spent a total of $100 at giordano and became their member! well, got a berms and polo t for my dad. while i got a grey berms, belt and purple polo for myself! it was a good buy. cos they're having 30% off regular priced items when i purchase a pair of bottoms. my pair of berms costs $39, and after some quick calculation i took a $16 belt. and the bill was $38.50! yeah~ cheaper than if i were to get just a pair of berms. wee!

well, i shall not buy anything for the rest of the month le. had my retail therapy for the month!

yeah! finally i got to shop for the first time this month! went with kiwi and i bought this very nice vintage top from fox. tried it and it really suits me. haha but i have yet to get a bottoms! maybe i shall get it tml from tm freshbox~ hopefully there's something nice there... we bumped into zhiwen and kelvin while shopping and zhiwen gave me a shock by slapping hard on my shoulder. haha!

alright, and then we made our way to rafflesplace to meet ch, ys and huihan for dinner at botan! it's an authentic jap restaurant with a japanese chef! and the variety was overwhelming. being spoilt for choice, we decided to go for the set dinner. it was umai! very cute green fried stuff and really fresh sashimi, nothing can beat such a complete dinner. but we had this 'stamina tofu' which has raw egg, fermented soybean, some mushrooms. and we were supposed to kakimazeru(stir) everything together! it looked a little yucky but actually tasted alright INITIALLY. thereafter, we felt the raw egg smell a little pungent and decided to stop eating that. guess it's not suited to our palates! and as usual, we really had a good chat over there!

well well, lets have another interesting meal next month! would really like to travel with them again but i guess chances are slim! hopefully we'll have a hip idea to celebrate our birthdays! chalet?

I think i'll have to blog this down in order to get it off my chest. went to uncle's funeral yesterday. was still happily chatting with my cousin before we reached the crematorium. but as he was pushed into the flames and when my relatives started chanting ' brother, go with the flames, dun stay here'(direct translation from hokkien) with sobs in between, i teared silently. I think I've never felt so human before, without great emotions but still a deep sorrow in my heart.

It made me realise how fragile life is. yesterday's night seems peaceful, and while lying on the bed my mind was flooded with thoughts which led me to tears again... I can't afford to lose my loved ones...

yeah~ met pam for a movie at tm today and we caught escape from huang shi. it was totally an awesome movie adapted from a true life story of a courageous reporter called george horgg. he managed to cross the borders illegally to get into nanking as a memeber of the red cross but his actual identity was a reporter who gradually became an altruist in the movie. And I did felt a little hatred towards the japanese soldiers when the chinese were gruesomely massacred.



like what some review has reported, 'a disturbing epic movie'. Impressive indeed and highly recommended!

after 1 week of mundane lab work, i got to meet my nephew! i guess it really spoils the mood to have driving lessons at night which had me dreading the lesson for the whole week. and guess that led to my boredom at work last wk. haha!

well well, anyway so i took bus 18 to my san gu's house and played with this small little imp. he's really cute and i love feeding him! let him eat a little junk food cos he likes to try the things i eat. and he would kiss me when i ask him to! ahhaa, my cousin even felt jealous. haha think i like his cheeks and the way he smiles. a bubbly baby indeed, and he rarely cries which makes him so adorable.


at his house feeding him and he's a bottomless pit i conclude! haha and i'm such a bad influence cos i keep feeding him big chunks of food! it's more enjoyable to eat in that way i thinK!

so after playing with him, we finally made our way to the airport by bus and train! it's really a hassle to bring babies out with a pram i feel. and it's the first time i find our smrt lift so 'baby' friendly. cos it's really useful when u're pushing a pram and it's the first time i felt that the wider exits are usefuL!

so we went to mr bean at t3 and had some dao hui and soya bean ice cream. coincidentally, bumped into wenting. kinda corny scene. and after the soya galore, we went to walk around. actually i do find it quite tiring to take care of kids, cos u need to bend down and help them. it's like doing squats. haha! so we took the skytrain to t2 and decided to nua at sakae sushi! ate quite a lot! and i find the menu there a little different from the usual outlets! there's rainbow sushi and a highly recommended (from me) mango wrapped sushi! but please dun add any wasabi cos the tastes of mango and wasabi clash! and we finally had quality time to catch up and were sharing about our experiences overseas and stuff. we had something in common- we love jap food! and zhan hui woke up so we fed him chawanmushi! and i taught him jap too and he could repeat correctly! hope he'll get into tchs when he's older and be a successful guY~

so after our hearty dinner, we went back to tampines to meet san gu and ah duo who gave me a ride home! thanks sis for the dinner treat! had been a nice day out with ya~ and hopefully, my nephew will not forget this nice uncle of his! well, hopefully he'll be able to come with his mum to london to visit me!

yupz! and so today was meng ni's party! woke up at 815am for my jap lessons be4 meeting cf at town to go to meng ni's house together!

reached there at 1240pm and it started to pour the min we walked out of the bus stop! haha ran for our lives till we found shelter. well well, it was fun. met kok, daryl, joanna, my fellow hc dyb members whom i haven seen since we graduated. i've only been seeing cf and mn. hmmm maybe we should have a get together in may when the girls finish their exams!

yeah and chatted with mn's bro who may be going to imperial with me this year! haha. wa and so many of us will be going to imperial, so many frens i would say. i can't wait to go skiing with them or playing snow with them! and it's mn's 21st bday, time flies... still remember the times when we were still donned in hc uniform, and would sometimes head to town to shop on fridays. and we're all like grown-ups now... finishing our studies and then work in today's society. but somethings never change, like the attitude towards each other, haha like how we used to bicker (and we still do) when we were in hc. oh my and we're in our 20s already! i dun noe why, but i'm feeling much older nowadays though university hasn't started for me. anyway, happy birthday to u, mn! hope u look young always! and frens foreva~ cheers~


well, and i decided to take a photo at newton mrt where we alighted to get home. cos this is the station where we always rush home after sch, esp after prelim papers or a lvl papers~

yeah! met up samuel, nic and weidi today! we met for dinner supposedly at 6pm but everyone was late. weidi and i were the first 2 to reach at 7pM! haha, i'm so proud of myself, cos i managed to go for a 5km run be4 meeting them! and the weather wasn't scorching hot at 445pm, instead it was quite cooling!

so we had dinner at miss clarity and i think 1 thing i like about that place is that it doesn't have GST nor service charge. well, ate a vegetarian bake rice and shared a plate of ham bolognese and a blueberry pie with nic. and we crapped lots of stuff like how we're doing now, and how samuel will use his poison needles to threaten the waitresses. haha! well well, inside jokes... laughed till i teared and it was really tiring to laf hysterically. the other tables were even crazier, and i believe the decibel measurement there is really quite high huh!

then, we went to minolti for cake galore but just managed to 'snatch' 3 cakes cos they have their fine cakes going off at 50% after 10pm. find the cakes really good and exquisite! a pity we din take any pictures! haha. and we crapped even more over there and i realised many ppl watch the 9pm singapore show which is so satirical about singaporeans' behaviour! well well, it has been a really enjoyable night out with the 3! yeah~ and tomorrow will be lunch party at meng ni's house!
