yeah yesterday was my first time prawning at Bishan! The DSTA UK seniors organised this STJ outing for us! really nice of them. I was quite lazy to learn how to prepare, and just conveniently waited for jk, bf and kelvin to prepare then just use their rods. haha! it was quite fun, esp when u have your first catch but i didn't like it when people smoke and start to pollute the air. Caught some really huge prawns and was totally satisfied. caught a total of 4 prawns i think! And it was so fun camwhoring and making fun of sonya as she sat beside me. bf and i would just keep making fun of her by disgusting her! HAHA! so funny.

that's bf and sonya. haha i gave sonya a new pronunciation to her name called sony-a. haha! weifeng(our senior) was only so amused by the name after like few seconds, kinda slow huh.

then we went to have dinner with the seniors at prata house with only the four of us, jk, xiuhuan, jiahui and i left! cos the rest had other commitments. and i realised i really enjoy the company of these dsta seniors, feels very homely to be with them. i guess that's something peculiar about dsta. like what serene said, she also finds dsta homely whenever she thinks of it, like ppl over there are less pretentious. yup and i agree with her. actually this outing was more fun than sojourn i felt. haha, oops. but at least got to know more ppl at sojourn. I think it would be fun to meet these seniors up in london. it would be really fun. =) Thanks seniors, really enjoyed myself!

3 more weeks to performance, so fast.

well these few days have been practising cello at home, if not going to hsbc to open a joint account with my dad and visa application with bf, serene and kelvin.

then today went to comex with jk, sonya, ben and baba. ben left halfway. and i bought lots of stuff, like shopping in a pasar malam! i bought 1 4gb thumbdrive, 250gb hard disk, 1 philips headphone with mike and a dell desktop! tested the headphone and i find it really good! very bassy and it's cheap too with comfy earpads. got the hard disk cos jk, sonya and baba said that it's quite necessary in case my com just crashes for no reason. haha! good to have them around if not i would not have known all these stuff.

well and these few days have been talking to bf about really quite a lot of stuff and i know that our friendship has improved by leaps and bounds and we've really become very close i would say. To allow me to know some things which would otherwise been unheard of really proves where our friendship stands. thanks bf, for ur trust in me! and i am looking forward to touring europe with him and the rest! and also hopefully we'll get to visit beijing next summer. haha! it's kinda too early to say that so soon though. but yeah! hopefully everything will work out! wee... it's dsta UK STJ tomorrow at bishan! i'm kinda looking forward to that~

it's jk's bday today! and so we went to have a small celebration for him! haha, i've celebrated with him twice already actually, 1 at dsta and today the actual 1. we went to hanabi for lunch with kelvin, and we were so indecisive if we should take the ala carte or buffet. but after doing some maths, we found the buffet 1 more worthwhile if we wanna have loads of sashimi! yeah so we had that and wow, should have seen how kelvin eats! he's the ultimate winner, he could eat a lot in the end. slow and steady eater, jk also has quite a large appetite.


yeah we were so 'amazed' by the food. haha but frankly speaking, the standard has dropped quite a lot. the sashimi isn't as fresh i felt! hai...

well, but we had nice cakes from ochacha, i esp like the tea-ramisu. haha~ yeah! and so i went to run 6km today after coming home to burn these sinful fats! haha! tml will be watching 12 lotus with ch~

yeah! congrats to singapore for getting into the women's table tennis finals and has guaranteed a silver for our nation. It was such a nerve racking, annoying yet victorious game!

The first game was easily taken by feng tianwei. The 2nd match was totally nerve racking as li jiawei meets her nemesis kim kyu ah, and it's like the athen's replay when she lost her confidence halfway through the game. She still couldn't control her emotions against this really strong chopper. Indeed, like what the commentator says, her(kim's) annoying ability was really on jiawei's nerve and they played an agonising 5 sets.

The 3rd game was well played by the singapore duo without much difficulties. no wonder they're ranked 2nd after china pair. I thought the game would have ended with wang yuegu's victory in the 4th game but looks like Dang who lost badly in the 1st game was totally on form suddenly and she beat wang yuegu to 3-0. but it was a jangly game as both scores were so close. with the 2nd set seeing a 14-12 win to Dang. She was so fast, accurate and aggressive!

The final game was the exhilarating 1 when Tianwei took the 1st 2 sets from Pak. It almost looked like an emphatic victory for tianwei but she lost the 3rd set to Pak with 11-3. and finally, the last, nervous 4th game saw singapore winning with 11-9. The Korean was so dejected cos it's anybody's game! She's really good at defending, with her strong backhand defending most of tianwei's smash, but her smash prevailed as she became increasingly aggressive.

The koreans really know how to place their players. aggressive Dang with attacking feng tianwei. and they avoided placing any of the choppers with the more patient wang yuegu who's better dealing with choppers. and the 2 choppers with li jiawei and feng tianwei, who are weaker against choppers. I initially thot all was over when the 5th game was called in, cos feng isn't really good against choppers. but her smash was so superb that it prevailed over Pak's chop! I was so happy when i saw her smash killing Pak's defence. Indubitably, kim's defence is much stronger and solid than pak's cos pak's couldn't really take some of tianwei's smash which might have been more well dealt by kim. haha and the funny thing was when both wang yuegu and kim kyu ah was sent out due to incessant prompting.

Yeah, Singapore finally prevailed over such a strong enemy and is able to face China on Sunday! what a stupendous victory!

anyway, this morning woke up at 3.30am to send huiqing at the airport with kelvin. he came over to my house for a stayover be4 i drove both of us there. it was really quite an emotional farewell i feel. almost teared when i hugged her but i din. I think it's really much harder at the gates! Dun really know how will i deal with my emotions on 3rd Oct; may just cry.


yeah 2 of us~ we also shun bian sent off the other 3 dsta frens who are going to illinois. yup! all the best to them and to u too, hq~ keep in contact ya~

yesterday was dsta chalet at downtown east. thanks to weilin and sonya for organising. It's meant as a last gathering, esp for the US ppl cos they'll be leaving within these 2 weeks. Had quite a nice dinner with the dsta peeps and also a few really fun rounds of saboteur at night. let the pictures do the talking...

and well, i'm really much glued to the tv these days cos of the olympics! nv did i have so much time watching cos 4 years ago, i was still having my block test. and now i'm so free to watch! haha, hopefully 4 years later, i'll get at least a tix at london olympics! wee!

shall blog about what happened yesterday! haha, it was a really long but fun day for me from 8am till 11pm! well, went to do meals delivery with hq, wl, jk, kelvin and baba at tpy. we split into 3 pairs and were really efficient in delivering all the food!

Then we went to fei cui for lunch! cos i was craving for it. haha, i promise i shall not impose on others in future! Then we went to make an appointment at hsbc to open our bank account and they were nice enuf to accompany me to cityhall to while away my time cos i had a dinner date with the imperial chem ppl at 645! haha, so we settled down at starbucks and started crapping. haha..

Well, then it was imperial chem dinner which i was quite apprehensive about initially cos i am the only dsta person there! the other scholarship boards have much more ppl. haha, and they were all actually quite surprised that dsta offers chem.

(anyway yeah, was quite put off with my fren for what he had said initially. i felt so lonely and sad then cos i always treated him as a close fren and such treatment felt unacceptable to me, called yx and she told me it may be a good thing cos i wun cling onto him and will get to mingle with the other frens.)

and yeah true enuf, the dinner turned out to be a really fun 1! love the A* star ppl, had lots to talk to kang yee, serene and yang le. guess cos we were from the same school too? and there's this common link! wee, haha and serene is now officially 2m after a ridiculous round up. haha! and i'm so much shorter than her! haha! so funny~ and there're so many things to crap with ky. seems like we'll always be sitting with each other during lectures! wee!

well anyway, I'm happy that i dun have to depend much on u. =)

After yesterday's mugging with baba at the airport, it's swimming today with him and weiliang! haha, we swam a good 10 laps before a long rest which turned out into a camwhoring session! haha i think every1 else by the pool thought that we were really mad. oh well, but it was fun and also funny! i lafed crazily when wl and i did that muak action, oh my! i could see his pouted lips and i just kept laughing away. it took us some effort to take that photo. HAHA!

and i taught baba how to tow victims from 1 end of the pool to another; tried towing him and found that my stamina dropped a lot!

then we went to watch money no enuf at tm. was a satirical movie again but it kinda seems repetitive for all jack neo's movies. but i would say it was a heavy movie for me at the end. it showed their mum's health rapidly deteriorating, but none of her sons treated her well. but she still sacrificed her life for her grand daughter, which left me tearing badly. I felt a little 'devastated' when i saw her pulling out the life sustaining tube silently from her mouth, with tears trickling down her cheeks. I bet many in the cinema cried too. I guess i could better relate to the ending when she was battling with her coma as I witnessed something similar few months ago when my uncle passed away. though i wasn't really close to him, i teared quite a lot on the cremation day. Really taught me to cherish whatever I have now... hai...

wow! today was really a 1 day out driving! i drove a grand total of 100km! woo~ haha first went to pick weiliang up at simei which i holland a little cos i din know i was suppose to turn into a small and narrow side road to pick him up. then we went straight to weidi's house to return him the bag i borrowed from him! and it was all the way to choa chu kang, really ulu place! but managed to find his place easily...

Followed by driving vertically downwards to clementi sunset way to jk's house! and we had lunch at the coffee shop, followed by ice cream at daily's scoop! really good ice cream they served, all were made by themselves and i could even see durian fibres in the durian ice cream that we had for our waffle! cooL!

and finally, drove to holland v with them to get provenance bread! and i bought my all time fav, miruku pan, cheesecake bread and cinnamon bread, also for my parents! haha.

and my driving confidence boosted a lot after this trip, haha! but i bumped my bumper a little when i was parking in the multi storey carpark, forgetting that it's much narrower. i shall not bump it again in future! anyway, a bumper is used to bump haha!

Yeah! I'm really happy today! Today was our DSTA scholars' nite and be4 that met kelvin at town to get jk's tiramisu cake from Hyatt Hotel! After getting the pretty cake, went down straight to DSTA to refrigerate it!

As we reached really early, like 3pm, wanted to visit my MH ppl initially but none picked up my phone call! so in the end we went back to dsta audi. well, jk doesn't even have the slightest clue that we're celebrating his bday today! and he still said i pang seh him for coming sooo earlY!

We initially wanted to get everybody in the audi together with junkai, be4 wl and i get the cake in! but stubborn jk went out and mingle with the seniors till he din really want to budge. so kym thot a great idea for us, that all of us prepare everything first then i'd bluff him to get the bank draft from sara in the audi! haha, and the plan was executed so impeccably! they switched off all the lights (credits to wl for such a romantic idea) and closed the door be4 we entered! and when he entered, TADA, was a tantalising tiramisu cake lying in front of him. sang him a birthday song, and everything was like a big surprise to him! hahaa, i was really happy that he's happy too. and he was very appreciative of what we have done. kept thanking us profusely. Then we took a couple of photos and i gave him the tie i bought for him! wee, and he really needed 1 tie. thought of getting a tie cos he was telling me he doesn't really have many ties, so my present was really apt!

and then went home with weiliang and we chatted a lot. i'm kinda glad that i'm understanding him more now in a positive way. haha =) cos we din really have much chances to have this kinda conversation in the past? yup yup, so today was a happy day! haha!
