This week was quite a slack week as we had harry raya and our off in lieu both on tues and thurs respectively. Unfortunately, I have COS duty on Mon and one more this sunday! Thus my tues wasn't well spent. thurs was off in lieu and we (me, hsien jun, ming hao, dd and justin) went to grand cine to catch the prestige. A nice movie I would say. may get a little perplex in the beginning, but as the movie goes on, you can piece the pieces together into a brilliant plot! The story is basically about how 2 magicians compete with each other unscrupulously with an underlying reason---revenge. and in the end, 1 emerged as the winner at the expense of many other lives including his willing twin. But it's still a little hard to phantom how a scientist of that era was able to invent a cloning machine. It's a little incredulous right. haha~ but well, it's just a movie.

then fri was our X country, and i came in 54th for the 7km run; 1 of the last few in the race! argh~ such a disgrace hahaha! but i noe i wasn't a good runner, so it's alright. met some old frens like jun wei and yuan wei and chee jian (the DSTA scholar i blogged some time ago)! haha what a coincidence~ then we went to marina square to shop.

I choose to turn a deaf ear to some people's inflammatory comments at times as i find it totally ridiculous. however, it may hurt at times when you know the truth; that some1 is biased against you. perhaps due to my incessant blabbering. but i still believe that i shouldn't be treated in this way. That's why i choose to ignore and shall be more humble in future. perhaps only others can embrace such jokes; and the biased you i shall treat humbly. it may be betta for the both of us in this way.

anyway, i've been fantasizing about overseas study these few nights. i wonder why, but i relish at the thought of it. however, i believe my life won't be that ideal then. hope to really make frens there and i do look forward to touring europe with my dsta frens! haha is it too early to fantasize now?!

vivocity

alright, so today i went to vivocity with cf! ok la, the place can be said to be not bad but i din really feel attached to the place; not tantalising enuf for me to return there~ haha! it's a little like marina whereby the basic blueprint was a cross. so i managed to get myself a set of clothing from topman! got a brown-white striped long-sleeve hooded shirt and a pair of grey jeans. yeah spent nearly $200 inclusive of some marks and spencer butter biscuits! hahah~ really like my shirt... nice! and i'm now a member of topshOP~ haha! yeah!

yuPz, vivo has a beautiful environment surrounding it; esp when the sea was its main backdrop~ nice fotos can be taken and yUpz i've taken some. however, though claimed to be the biggest shopping mall in s'pore, it lacks the most important commodity---FOOD! we were craving for BK then and to our consternation, there wasn't a fast food restaurant... just Carls' jr which serves mostly beeF! argh! and the directory sucks a little, perhaps owing to the size of the malL! hahah... guess i'll visit my fav marina square in future instead~

argH~ my legs are aching like mad now~ but i'm still determined to swim and run tml at HJ house! yeah i love swimming!

Sakae

haha today we went for our swimming meet and i helped shawn to compete in the 100m breaststroke! and i came in 6th~ so lousy but it's like my first time competiting without any prior preparation ahah! so dumB~ and i felt so much resistance while in the water...

and we went to town after that but broke up into 2 groups as some wanna catch a movie. so me, samuel, lip yong, hsien jun and shiwei went to sakae to have a really crazy buffet. we ordered so much as usual and almost couldnt finish. ambitious we are as we were so famished when we reached there. haha! alright took some fotos and neoprint after that~ ryu! the neoprint taken was the same machine we used that time ahah but this was taken in heeren.

A random post

alright, this week will be surprisingly slack and in fact, fun cos we'll be booking out daily till the end of the week. we'll be having our swimming meet tml and thurs and it will end at 2pm tml~ good news for us specs cos we had planned to have sakae buffet at Heeren Orchard! kinda excited about this feast now that we have already known each other betta hahah and able to crap much!

like ming hao, justin and some others whom i have really known them betta after they were posted to alpha with me~ yeaP! like their company too~ I was wondering how would i feel when we ord or when the men ord. guess i'll be quite sad to see them leave as they're really a nice bunch of frens. and i mean frens literally. though elder than us, they're still very much approachable and friendly towards us. wonder how will all of us feel when that day comes...

and after we ord, definitely, i'll cheer for myself, for gaining back the freedom to pursue what I have stalled cos of NS, for being able to really relish at the thought of studying abroad and buying those trendy winter wear as well as being a relief teacher be4 my school term starts. so much exciting stuff awaits. on the other hand, i'll definitely miss my 2 PCs, both of them are really fun to talk to. guess that's the intangible, enigmatic principle of relationships. it actually can 'hurt' u more if u get the betta of it. haha~ guess i'll be sad when that day comes~ will miss both of them~

oh well, yesterday i just went for my interview and it was quite alright. started well but stumbled over his last question when my interviewer asked me to draw the last graph. it was kinda mind boggling cos i need to ans fast hahah! ok and he tested me on compression factor and i was like... hmmm looks familiar cos i saw that in the chem O notes. luckily i was able to explain relatively alright ahaha.. fingers shall stay cross before the results are out; that'll be in dec! hope for the best man!

So this week has passed quickly and monotonously. I booked out earlier on Fri to attend my cousin's wedding and went back to camp on sat morning to do stores and UFP(unit fitness program) till 4pm. wat a boring week! nevertheless, I still find alpha company the most family-like coy. I like it cos of the presence of our friendly men, my 2 dearest PCs and not to forget our good natured OC. It just feels so fine to do OT for them; think that's the way how we as specs should reciprocate.

we had a mini mooncake celebration on wednesday night. though it was after a really busy day, it was still quite an enjoyable session when all of us get to have mooncakes together and able to play with lanterns and sparklers together. it's good to have such a light hearted event amid the busy schedules that we have everyday. it helps us to virtually forget the stifling issues that we face everyday. and yuPz, think tolerance is a virtue in the army~

well, tomorrow i'll be having my uni interview at british council. hope everything goes right. have been studying for the past few weeks and i'm lucky to have justin to swop COS duty with me. thanks pal! sorry for landing u in a 'confinement' state. but really felt so thankful to hiM! yuPz, took a whole day off tml to prepare for my 5pm interview. wish me luck! haha~

MAF 06

yeah! that's right! it's HC MAF 2006! I'm really so happy and have been waiting for this day since the start of the year. MAF came and went quickly but that short 3h have really made me so elated today!

The anticipation- MAF is finally here! hahah! think i'm going a little bonkers. alright, it's a pity that i missed the lightings cos we were still having our dinner at prince then! and when we went back, we were in time for the song session and mass dance! those 2 are my favourite! still remember the "outer hand, inner hand" cos that was the hippest dance! and i love the dang ni gu dang. still remember the time when me and lip yong was singing during our range in bmt, to reminiscence maf! and this time i sang to the top of my voice! let everything out and just be real happy for once!

ah yah! forgot to took a class photo. but managed to take many photos with other frens and seniors! ppl like samuel, weidi, shawn, lip yong, my dunman frens, my class ppl, nelsoN!, wenjie!, andrew, chang fang! haha! yeah!

university placing!

yeah! 3 cheers for the united kingdoM! The newest university rankings is out. as usual, harvard remains in the 1st position; followed by cambridge in 2nd place and oxford in the 3rd position. last year's 2nd place MIT was knocked out by these 2 schools to the 4th position this year. I'm so happy for the UK! haha... and the excitement doesn't end here as imperial is also in the top 10! 9th position it has claimed!

claps for NUS too as she has clinched the 19th position, tied with Tokyo university. finally, gaining it's entry back into the top 20. alright, at least my dream schools are in the top 10. really hope to get into them! argH!!!
