wow! sitex is really cooL! saw many cool stuff and i especially like samsung T9 MP3 player! should have waited for it to be released! my current one is still beautiful though. haha! and there're like so many ppl! dun singaporeans have to work?!?!?! and also, when u go through this line of 'phamplet people', they just besiege u with brochures! crazy man~

well, met up with emmelline, hui shan and samuel. all the 04S75 peeps and it's my first time going out with the 2 of them haha! Actually, I noe lots of S75 ppl thru liyu and they are one of them. haha! so we walked around and it's really funny to have emelline around cos she screams haha! we were looking at laptop casing and there was this mickey mouse one and she was saying wow, it's $100 with a very funny tone. even the salesgirl was laughing. and we saw this very cool keyboard with disney characters haha but i din buy la cos it's kinda waste of money~

so in the end samuel got the most things man! i just bought a 5.1 creative sound system which comes with 5 speakers! power! and it only costs $115. haha cheap! and he bought a pair of portable speakers together with a home phone. haha~ emilline and hui shan bought shoes from john little sale~ at least they din waste their time here! haha! and there was this car exhibition, so we went in and took some photos!

haha~ sometimes i do find humans weird. take me as an example, was feeling lousy when i booked out today. but on my way out, i met lta alfred at the bus stop and we started chatting~ hahah he even gave me a taxi ride home~ =) it's really rare to go home with officers~ hahah and it's really a coincidence for me!

well well, chatted here and there to update about what each other has been doing~ still remember how he likes to make fun of hsien jun in the past during our bpcc days. and the times when i always make fun of lta weihong. haha! time flies man~

was chatting with samuel today about army frens. and yupz, do agree with him that army is just a crossroad and the many frens that we have made may just be superficial except for some. for me, i noe i'll definitely still stay in contact with some of them. ppl like wh, wj and rayan. guess i'll be damn sad to see them leaving next year. but still all the best in their future endeavours. cos we have common topics to talk about and i do actually treat them like my seniors. taking wj as an eg, we chatted till 1am when he was my orderly and rayan, he nv fails to help his fellow new specs (us!) and i really appreciate it a lot. maybe wat samuel says is correct, good frens usually come by faith and luck. and i believe that we do not need a huge circle of close frens cos they will not be special otherwise. alright... Think i wanna meet some of them this sat! It has been soooo long ever since i met PS and jy out! and i yearn to meet them! argh! hahaha...

well, ok today i had my swimming entry test at the commando camp and yeah it is really near my house! swam well and it really feels good to stay near ur camp.

well, that's beside the point cos these few days have been really cumbersome. firstly we had a commanders' meeting session yesterday. censorship will be applied here but i'm just gonna say what i said yesterday. we had to comment on the men's work attitude and most gave their tardiness when asked to do work. to me, i felt that we should take a step back instead and reflect upon ourselves; whether we have done our part as a commander cos we lead my example before we can actually comment on others. well, it was meant for some people out there and apparently, i didn't mention names. hope that they realised who they are.

Then today, we had another problem with the man. I was the DS and there's UFP and life run in the morning. after which, we need to carry out fatique work. however, those att b and UFP personels had to stay back at the soc ground and thus could not return to do fatigue.

so, eventually, those who went for the life run did. and most of them were complaining while doing cos the att b people weren't. luckily, i sought their understanding that they were still held up at the soc ground. but when they came back, some just headed straight for the canteen; leaving me appalled when i went to ask them to do fatigue. ridiculous reasons were thrown at me which i din accept and i couldn't condone such indifferent antics. I kinda gave up on them cos it really tires me out.

While on 1 hand, i understand how those who worked felt. on the other, why can't the man put themselves in our shoes and try to understand the predicament we are in?! we tried to improve the situation but what can we do if our advice is not heeded? and i use the word advise cos i nv believe in threatening them. perhaps, it may work for some, come to think of it now. true enough, we as commanders should do something about this and yes we're going to talk to them soon. but at certain times, such incessant complains can really make u go bonkers. and i do admit that we're wrong in letting these few people to continue such misdemeanour. actually, it's cos we have given up. perhaps, 1 solution is to make diff bunks the fatigue bunk each day and they'll rotate among themselves. but there'll still be problems of not having sufficient ppl in a bunk at 1 time. there's no absolute solution, but i guess this will be a betta 1.

i guess to be sandwiched in the middle of men and pc is really saddening. the men will just complain to u and ur pc will find fault with u if u didn't ensure. so who will give us their understandings? essentially, no one. but to look at a brighter side, our PCs are not such people.

well, anyway, I've been wanting to join Youth Challenge which is a UN based organisation. really hope to get in so that i will be given the chance to go to those 3rd world countries and help those ppl. cos i've always led such a good life, it's time to help those who're under privilege.

After finishing my friday cos duty, came home to sleep and then met kheng wee and han qun for a movie at marina square! we caught the movie mo gong and with kiwi's safra card, we just paid $8 each~ yeah!

However, Ge Li(mo zhe) returned to help liang guo and he succeeded in the end. sadly, he found his beloved dead when he tried to save her out of the dungeon. well, the substantial part of the movie is the challenging ideas ge li always has for his opponents and the tenacity he has in the midst of an adversity.

The insatiable appetite of man for power may cause him to loose his sanity and even turn him into a despicable lad. and that a good guy may have to suffer in the end as was reflected by the movie. but anyway, i was really impressed by the olden chinese language used by them. it's kinda chim and i had to read the eng subtitles at times. chi literature--- a rare gem and i like to listen to such chi actuallY!

glad that kiwi and han qun found it a good movie too! and i actually felt much happier today when i went out with them~ more time to interact and stuff as compared to kbox. haha! after the movie i wanted to rush home cos i didn't want to miss the 7pm show! last episode! but on the way, couldn't resist the temptation and thus shared a 'dark chocolate decadence' with kheng wee from GoDiva~! the choc is really rich! and it's really nice! slurp!

haha~ so i met swee keat today after so many months! he's gonna stay in soon this coming thurs for his spec course. hope everything goes well for u buddy! was kinda sick today after a morning swim at jiamin's house. swam 10 laps of front crawl, and it was really xiong for me cos i have not get acclimatized to the continuous aerobic strokes. and it's really energy consuming. kept sneezing after my swim!

thus, i had no choice but to ask sk to meet at tm, cos i din wan to travel far! haha and we caught the movie casino royale. quite an ok movie la, will definitely satisfy those avid action-movie goers. along the way, found that our lives are really boring nowadays. all thanks to the SAF. these few months have not been eventful for us. However, amid the monotony, occasionally i do enjoy such relax lifestyle. ironically, you yearn for a challenging life when it is relaxed and a relaxing one when it's stressful. argH~ well well, what should i do to spice up my life after i ord?! ahahah relief teacher? or try something less conventional? like working in an MNC? hahah! like wat ps did be4 she went for her studies... hmmm...

anyway, shall not muse over such things for too long! there's american next model tomorrow and it's the last episode i guess. argH~ i already knew who's the winner. and the winners of these few seasons are a little disappointing. I still prefer Naima! haha~

The past

Oh my god! O levels has recently ended and A levels is coming to an end soon. it has been a year! 1 year anniversary since my last paper. I only thought of this when evelyn mentioned to me that A levels is ending soon. Upon hearing wat she said (or rather seeing wat she has typed), my gan chu duo duo. still remember how all of us mug for A levels. the anxiety, apprehension and finally anticipation for the results day was really overwhelming. and the countless sleepless nights i had was really tormenting. to know u have a paper the next day yet couldn't get to sleep really made me anxious and it's actually a vicious cycle. luckily, i managed to survive those days and the day when i took my chemistry paper 3 was the worst paper I had.

I was stuck at one particular organic NMR question and it was actually a trick question. easy but i couldn't solve it. and i thot that was the end of my 4 As then. but luckily, I still manage an A eventually. and i had the least confidence when i sat for my Chem S paper cos the questions were really atrocious, esp the inorganic chem which asked about ammonia chemistry. well... and on the results day, we can see a mixture of feelings. ppl crying for joy as well as sorrow. and alast, i've gotten the coveted 4As, but unfortunately a merit for maths and U for chem. well... It's alright i guess and i'm also really glad my GP has gotten a b3. not too bad after all. at least my hard work for gp did pay off.

and after being happy for myself, i was happy for HC's excellent results. the number of 4 As increased. mrs foo was also a winner as her bio students had excellent grades. no. of As was 9 out of 10 despite a larger bio cohord.

And after all these, i became busy over scholarship applications and uni applications. and now I've finally gotten them and yuPz, happy for myself too~ well life goes on. after 2 years of NS, will be 4 years of life in the UK. I just cant wait for the next chapter of my life to unfold.

Today's another nights out and i decided to return home. platoon's morale has been really down these few days as we are really short of manpower. Inadvertently, we have to keep using the same people to do maintenance such that they became so sick of it. Really had no other choice and hope that they can really understand. Feel kinda remorseful too. hmm actually not so strong a word. but felt that i've let them down. haiz... and sorry was the only thing i could say. well, everything will be fine after this week!

On a lighter note, imperial have offered me an unconditional offer! i'm really so happy when i heard this! i was still so afraid that they will reject me cos of last year's application. yeah~ now, just one more school! gambatte~

yuki yaki

yeah yeah! today was buffet day! so altogether, there were 7 of us. me, justin, samuel, ben, shi wei, wei keong and hsien jun yuPZ. we had wanted to have hanabi but the buffet ended at the time we met. we wanted to meet at 2 initially. but it started to poured heavily in the afternoon and samuel was late for like half and hour. sadly, hanabi and kushimbo buffet both ended at around the same time. nevertheless, after 3 days of starvation(exercise), we believed that our tenacity would still land us in some buffet. and indeed, we had yuki yaki instead.

may not like bbq food but then yuki yaki is acceptable. but i dun really like the not very palatable sushi. didn't get to cook much cos the stove was a little far from me. but i think ben was really amusing as he kept claiming that he's the iron chef and wanted to cook for us. but i guess the best chef still goes to wei keong! he knows how to cook almost everything. like the time needed for the fish to be just cooked and crispy. and how long should the egg be put in the soup be4 it gets charred. thumbs up man~ so i did have a nice meal and the self-made ice cream was the finale. we made our own ice cream using this really cold surface pan. and ben was so enthu in making for us again. i liked the almond 1 surprisingly as it was a rare choice and also the vanilla one. it was really a nice meal la. and we added coke to make slurp~ our own fine creatioN!

now that exercise croc is over, i can really just wait for my uni application results. i'm accepted by 3 uni le. but not my 2 other sch~! 1 will be slower and i will only get the reply end of dec. i really pray hard...

FinallY! exercise croc is over! hurray! am totally relieved now. prior to this exercise, i was kinda stressed due to the enormous responsibility each com has. it went smoothly and i hope that we'll reap what we have sowed. and for a celebration, we're going to have a buffet later in the afternoon~ haha

well, and the men will be ORD-ing soon, in another 3-4 months. actually, it's kinda sad, esp when they're really nice to u~ and i still need to be attached out for a life guard course for 2 wks! argH! 2 wks not in company! haiz, but we still need to move on and that's life! hope we'll still keep in contact~

alright, i've bought a canon ixus 800i yesterday. yeah~ so 3 sch have accepted me. i'm still waiting for the other 2 dream sch! argH!!!

Mood: sad

well, so what made me sad? actually, i'm just in low spirits. to be called a nickname jokingly is fine, but incessant calling makes it hurting. i really hope all these name-calling will stop and stop such derogatory remarks even if they're just meant for laugh.

went out with my bmt frens today for kster and a dinner. the things that we talk are kinda superficial. as time passes and as we get engaged in different lives, our circle of common topics has dwindle. we definitely won't be interested what each other are doing now as we won't be able to really understand, if not too mundane. haiz... kinda sad these few days...

but one consolation; that is my men are treating me really well and some said i have ren yuan. yeah =) hahaha... at least this helps to attest to my fine character. haha!
