been harping on and looking forward to ORD for the past few months. camaraderie forged, and it seems so much harder to bid farewell to our frens, esp those who have yet to ORD. And my usual adage: we have to move on.

wee~ today had a really interesting encounter!

well, went for tuition in the morning and did household chores when i reached home. wow, vacuumed and mopped the entire house; not an easy feat! then, went off to meet weiliang and weidi at central!

It's my 2nd time having dinner at that shopping mall. we decided to have jap food since it's a mall saturated with jap restaurants! so, we went to this famous ramen ten recommended by weidi. though their menu is a little limited, the ramen is really nice, just that it's a tad oily. This shop serves authentic jap food as the boss is a japanese. actually, i think it's a family business as most of the workers speak native jap!

well, so i decided to strike a conversation with 1 of the workers whom i guess is the lady boss. Below will be the convo:

店長:Do you want the side bar seats or wait for the tables?
僕:wait... 待つ
店長：はい、待つ！(surprised that i could speak jap)
僕：日本人？
店長：はい！

After we finished our food...

僕：すみません、私たちと一緒に写真を撮っていい？
店長：大丈夫、待ってください。
店長：I help the 3 of u take?
僕：いいえ，一緒にとる。
店長：including me?
僕：はい。

店長:　you study japanese?
I: yuPz, for 5 years... 再来週、日本Tokyoへ行く。
店長:お楽しみください。
僕:ありがとうございます。

店長：また！
ぼく：また！

Translation:

I: excuse me, can we take a photo with u together?
Lady Boss: alright, please wait a moment.
Lady Boss: I help the 3 of u take?
I: Nope, lets take together.
LB: including me?
I: Yes

Lady Boss: you study japanese?
I: yupz, for 5 years... I'll be going to Tokyo the week after next.

I'm really impressed by myself, to be understood by a japanese and able to have a normal conversation is really cool i thot! and i'm really happY~ hehe, so looking forward to speaking jap in japan sooN! oh my, i really wanna visit japan more frequentlY!

there was a dancing competition, so decided to watch for a while. quite nice i felt!


finally, on our way home! ahaha and cam whored with weidi using my fone~ hahah!

anyway, it was our first time meeting up. weiliang knew weidi through OCS, Advanced Engineers course; I knew weiliang through firefly interview and are now future fellow dsta colleagues; and I knew weidi through BPCC! So, all 3 of us are interlinked! zai rite~ anyway, hope weidi finds a nice luggage tonight with his parents! haha, there're so many ppl getting luggage nowadays! Guess it's time to travel! wee~!

well well~ met cheng hyork(who's like perpetually free) and kiwi for lunch at pizza! we ordered 3 cos i have the vouchers, and we spent like $12 each. hahaa, then we went for some lame movie called The seeker, it's not even a cheap thrill. haha! i was laughing throughout the movie with kiwi as he masquerade as the seeker! it's a seriously lame movie, dun think kids will enjoy it either. overly-simple plot!

Being able to lie on my couch comfortably, read my time magazine leisurely with my N95 MP3 switched on on a tranquil and cooling night is really enjoyable. simple it may seem, it's actually a luxury to me. seems like my life is really changing for the better as ORD draws near...

shall go for a good swim with ch tml, have a nice and cheap meal and borrow some books from the library. It has been so long since I've felt so relaxed... =)

yeah~! and i've finally gotten my N95 after a loooong wait! Really love my new phone and i've yet to understand the functions fully~ it's too high tech for me! ahaha, it would be fun to GPS around and maybe in tokyO??? but i guess not, cos it's more fun to use a map and navigate around!

alright, so took my new phone to town and met qimei for a short shopping trip. bought a lip balm and a handphone case to protect my phone from scratches and qimei bought a cute file which matches her character. haha! she's still like the past, like cute stuff but more lady-like now which is good. haven met her for like 1 year and we really had much to talk about! a pity that she has to rush home for dinner and revise her work, if not we could have chatted more. well, not to worry! we'll still meet up after i come back from japan which is also coincidentally the day when her last paper falls on! and this time, lets make it kboX! hahaa.. talking about
that, i haven been to kbox with ks! should go when we meet up yx in future! haha~

well well, then she accompanied me to somerset to meet my frens for dinner and along the way, guard com harry spotted me! haha he shouted guard 2 and i was eh~ harry~ ahaha! alright, so i met kiwi, ch and ys for thai buffet dinner at suanthai. it was a nice and cheap buffet which costs $22! yeah and they unanimously felt that my recommendation was good! haha! well well~ ORD is really round the corner, 2 more weeks and we'll finish this 1 yr 10 mth stint! in retrospect, we've really come so far... the 1st 3 months was still the most enjoyable. the time when all of us were still new to this organisation and were really interdependent on each other for support as well as encouragement. =)

kiwi and i!~ full!

overworked, underpaid, unappreciated; are the 3 words that could aptly describe this exercise that just ended. Anger, exasperation, disappointment were the feelings that ensued.

we, the ORD specs were treated like incoming specs in this exercise and those ppl out there are just too reliant on us. What will they become of during etep 1 when there're only the 5 of them left? i wonder... Some are becoming unyielding of a non-ORD spec who acts like he has already ORD, and even has the cheek to ask me to carry out his duties for him. have you ever witnessed a situation when the outgoing specs are working while a newer spec was relaxing nonchalantly? please, dun be such a bastard.

superiors are just making us overwork and purporting that it's rightful of them to do so. colleagues have this impression that we're useless specs and like to challenge us by making empty promises of working till their ord dates. All these are really exasperating. It's a propensity for humans to remember the "wrongdoings" of 1 and easily forget the helpful things he has done, thereby concluding that he's useless after accentuating his "blunder". A sad but real fact which has caused us all to be disappointed. can't they think of what we have done and helped in this past 1 yr 10 mth? shouldn't you not cling on to us anymore? shouldn't you be shifting your focus to the new specs and not us? shouldn't you be grateful that u din get a bunch of lousy specs? all these simple qns seems hard to get through some ppl's dense brains...

well, we still hafta get over this and yupz, shall not lay a single finger on any of my coy's problems for now we're known by Mister!

This week was simply range! well, went home at 12.30am yesterday after range due to some avoidable faux pas which i shan't elaborate. but well, I've finally cleared all range; be it atp or combat shoot which i always dread at cos i dun shoot well! haha~

and today, went out with milly to vivo for shopping. it was really coincidental that i called her when she was about to ask ppl out. haha! guess it was fate since i haven met her for quite some time. yeah and all the way to the west for us easterners, and i bought another nice jacket or sweater from winter time! really pretty blue striped jacket with cuddly thick wool in it!

after shopping, we made our way to secret recipe for dinner! and i guess secret recipe is JUST well-known for its cakes cos the main course that we had was really bland. haha, but still we enjoyed the shared banana choc cake. and then milly had to meet her bf at tam and we travelled all the way back to the east. caught up quite a lot with her, like the things that we've been doing.

alright, 1 more 3 day summary exercise next week with my beloved colleagues before bidding farewell to SAF. can really feel the vibe among all the ORD-ing personels. few more working days and off i go to taiwan, tokyo, italy and swit! was listening to 200 hundred pounds beauty 'Maria' and it really sounds cheery!

Today was well spent with emmeline(i spelled correctly right?) and my dunman frens. watched nanny diaries with emmeline in the afternoon and then had dinner at imperial treasure since i have abstained myself from chrystal jade n imperial for like months.

nanny diaries was not too bad, but the plot wasn't fantastic; it gives me a superior-to-subordinate feeling, which is akin to devil wears prada. yeap. and emmeline actually teared in this movie which kinda surprised me haha! emotional gal~

After dinner, we went shopping around marina square and I've gotten myself a stylish winter jacket. even emmeline found that it was nice; the hood especially, as it has traces of burberry patterns. bought it for $125~ and i'm officially broke. spent more than $200 on shopping this month! but the feeling was great to shop for winter wear, cos it signifies relaxation, fun and ORD. we had a fun time choosing and trying our fav winter wear and took some photos in the shop, we were quite embarrassed of ourselves actually! but i think we both look good in winter wear! haha!

ah... this was the best taken, and we had to hide at some corner! haha~ and sadly, my whole jacket wasn't taken! but it's nice~ shall bring it to tokyo and italY!

so i had my dental ffi at ngee soon camp this morning! met jiasheng at 8.30am at tam interchange, and travelled all the way to ngee soon camp for a 5 min dental ffi! argH! and the sweltering heat caused to sweat the whole day!

met hq later for breakfast at his house's coffee shop for ba chor meee! and we set off for town to meet chyork, ding hao and kheng wee. had a simple lunch at food republic, then to starbucks to discuss our tokyo itinerary. think we wasted kiwi's time today, sorry! =)

Day 9- Kamata, Narita Airport

haha! really looking forward to this triP! we'll surely have fun getting lost, experiencing the hype and enjoying the scenic environment in tokyO!

wee! today had a good harvest from shoppiNG! met nelson at bugis and we had unhealthy burger king instead for lunch; couldn't find subway! yeah, so we walked around bugis street which is too confusing for me! had difficulty finding the way out, and the shirts don't suit me. maybe i dislike shopping in a crowded area that's y. then i spotted this nice long sleeve green checked shirt at bugis fresh box and i bought it immediately after trying! looks nice and smart on me! so shan't hesitate~ hee!

next, we went to have nice desserts at ji de lai which is 1 of the shophouses across bugis junction! think they really have a great variety of desserts but only had space for 1, so i ordered the almond paste with 2 tang yuan~ yummY! haha, shall bring my other frens there in future~

yeah, then we went to cityhall for more shopping cos bugis seems to have nothing left. haha! lousy shoppers we are; and i got a nice singlet for dad for jogging and myself a pair of comfy teva slippers. alright, so that was my shopping trip; quite fruitful! will be meeting my bmt frens again tml for a more detailed planning for our tokyo itinerary! shall have a nice ba chor mee breakfast with han qun after my dental ffi be4 we meet the rest! haha~ i'm craving for ba chor meeee~

yeah~ finally had my first dim sum buffet at miramar hotel; went with samuel, jansen and harry! jansen drove us there! think i really enjoy being fetched around by ppl~

guess I can't really appreciate dim sum, cos they all feel the same after constant gorging; just meat wrapped in flour, fried or steam. haha! The buffet was really cheap, just $11.80++ which adds up to $15 per person. It was worth the money considering the amount of prawns we get to chew on but the food wasn't really fantastic la.

Then we proceeded to Kster for a good 4 hours of Karaoke~ and i find harry really good at harmonising. He can harmonise instantly, which i really admire! oh, it's my first time out with jansen and harry too actuallY and it turned out to be fun! wee~ oh ya, anyway, need to pay some tribute to my guard com harry who entertained me the whole night when i was guard 2!



alright, tml shall go shopping at bugis with nelson. and i'm dying to eat subway cos it's very healthY! lots of vege! had too much meat today le~

yeaH~ finally got to swim today! but my stamina has dropped tremendously after a 2.5 weeks hiatus! this is really bad. think i need to build my stamina again. at least i still managed to complete 26 laps today. after which, went to meet xin mei for lunch at cartel and they have stopped the student pass 30% discount. so we settled using my citibank card which has 20% discount. the chicken lasagne is yucky! oh, and I'm so determined to get N95 as my next phone. prices have once again 'plummeted' to $638. so much more affordable now, but i guess i'll wait for the improvised version to be out first lest there'll be further price reduction for the old 1. wee! so i shall get my N95 this month~





just came back with parents from CTC as we have changed our package from SA to CTC cos SA's package does not have sufficient ppl! we actually wanted to change to the US tour package with canada, however it'll be as tiring as a europe tour as there're loooots of travelling time in the coach. so i guess i'll hafta go on free n easy in future for canada! hope there'll be frens with the same interest! anyway, and I'll be taking SQ again! wee~ so both my japan and italy trip will be SQ! alright, i'm soooo looking forward to visiting venice, milan and rome!
